Loudlee is a music community that lets users listen to their favorite songs and build play lists. The application works through Facebook. Users can begin by selecting a song to hear or searching for music using the built in search bar. The user can begin adding songs to their play list, which appear along the lower, right side of the page. The song is played using a video from YouTube. The user can shuffle play lists or play them in order. Multiple play lists can be saved so users can create themed music lists. Loudlee also provides access to social sharing tools that lets users share music videos on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Loudlee offers a service that maybe attractive to some, but may seem redundant to others. The application hasn’t seen significant popularity so far. Most users may find that some of the features included with Loudlee are available through YouTube or other applications. The service is convenient for anyone who frequently uses YouTube as a music player but may not have as much to offer everyone else.

The main attraction to Loudlee is the ability to build and save play lists. The application also helps filter some of the search results a user would normally have to page through on YouTube be presenting a video for each song. Not all videos are good, so users can recommend better versions if they know of any. The application offers a convenient alternative to searching individual songs on YouTube however it might not be as appealing as some of the alternative music resources that are also available online.

Loudlee uses a refreshing orange color scheme that gives the site depth and life. The application presents songs in boxes with images of bands and album covers. The layout is decently organized. Users may have to page through when exploring numerous albums for specific songs, but this also gives the user an opportunity to find songs they may have missed. The interface is simple but attractive and modern in appearance.

New users can join the Loudlee community by clicking the large blue “Sign in with Facebook” button at the top, center of the homepage. A pop up box appears and asks the user to sign in to their Facebook account. The user must login and give Loudlee access to their profile to complete registration. The user must also provide a first and last name and email address. No alternative registration option is available to users at this time.

Loudlee is available to all users for free. The user doesn’t have to have a YouTube account to try Loudlee however a Facebook account is required. The application offers a helpful service, but it is one that not all users need. Anyone who prefers an application like Pandora Radio may find Loudlee less appealing. The upside is that users can build a free play list of music to enjoy anytime they have internet access.

Users can store multiple play lists at a time so they have a collection of music for any mood or occasion. The service is simple, but not all videos are good quality.
